By Tony Dietrich - December 24 - 12:10 pmLots of room in front and back. Easy to get in and out. Handles well on snow and ice. Very satisfied with the vehicle. Average of 23 city driving (Denver,CO), I havent had the opportunity for a long trip yet to check highway MPG.

New transmission - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Richard W. Taylor - December 4 - 5:53 pmI like this car better all of the time. The main thing that is different is the transmission. The transmission doesnt shift but instead increased engine RPM is heard in the car. It is very good on the highway in performance and gas mileage on a recent trip was 30 mpg. I am very well satisfied with this car because it has a lot of room for passengers and a huge trunk.

Best car Ive ever had - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Beth - September 24 - 11:10 amWe adore this car. Over the years we have had several models of Toyotas, Subarus, Nissans, VWs. Nothing has matched it. The Five Hundred is powerful, comfortable, reliable, gets excellent gas mileage, fun and easy to drive, has inexpensive upkeep and the lease payments are cheap. I was devastated to hear that Ford wants to nix it in favor of the Taurus, which seems like a "secretary car" to us.

Great Car - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Doc - September 17 - 1:16 amI traded in my Nissan for the Five Hundred SEL and am so happy. I now get up to 30 mpg (hwy), have great visibility and a huge trunk. Although critics have said the engine is underpowered I disagree. When I want to pass I tap the gas and it takes off. My insurance went down due to the cars safety features. Ford got it right with the Five Hundred and I recommend this car to everyone. Go drive one and see for yourself.

Love it! - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Lisa - June 29 - 11:50 amOnly complaint I have is it is a little gutless with "pick up" but still has enough to get the job done. The seats are very comfortable and there is enough leg room in the back seat for my 64" son in law to sit comfortably. The trunk is HUGE! We like to camp and all of our gear fits with no problem at all. I bought the absolute basic model and it has all the features that I needed.

wolf in sheeps clothing - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By justin - June 18 - 9:43 amThe car rides wonderfully. I traded in my 2003 Audi and my 2003 Mercedes to consolidate to this one car. I already packed the trunk and folded the back seats down to carry about 1200-1400 pounds of bricks. I get comments all the time ... THATS a FORD? WOW! It is refreshing to see domestic automakers stepping to the plate with their new designs. Welcome to the new millennium with this model, Ford.
